Carlisle Farmers Market enjoys the "home grower" designation as our niche in the growing farmers-market community.

Here are some general vendor rules we go by.

1. 80% minimum of all produce for sale must be grown by the vendor. Likewise with food products or crafts, 80% minimum must be made by the crafter.

2. No items for sale by the vendors may be purchased from a wholesaler or broker.

3. The local radius for produce should be within 30 miles or less. We strive for the freshness and a low carbon footprint (trucking).

We support home gardeners and local growers and will continue to do so as a market. When new vendors call for space, we desire current items sold by established vendors not be duplicated by new vendors. By supplying a unique product, the market grows!

The use of the word “organic produce” in your signs or flyers is not allowed at the market unless you have recognized certification. You may state that you use organic farming methods.

Keep this in mind….

Set up for Market must be completed by the 8 AM opening time. All vendors must adhere to this policy.

Actual vendor spaces start with Clovis and Jessica Haynes on the left end and follow the tree line down and around. New vendors are to set up along the street side or short “U” of the curve. If we need to increase the space, the “U” will be lengthened. The importance of being on time for set up allows maintenance of this setup plan.

The information tent will be moved back to the tree side, as this will be where the special “demo” of the day will take place. It is appreciated if the veteran vendors help "newbies” with any direction in setup or customary practice.
